The Role
A Billing & Expense Analyst will perform daily tasks in support of expense accrual setups for new product launches and fund events, expense structure changes, monthly rate reset tasks, daily analytics to ensure expense accruals and disbursements are accurate. On a daily basis, the Analyst may be responsible for the daily accounting of expense related processing on all products supported by the team, including approximately 500+ Retail and 2,000 Institutional products as well as certain Alternative products. On a monthly or periodic basis, you may be responsible for calculating Fidelity’s revenue derived from the Fidelity Investments ’40 Act Funds, Institutional and certain registered or non-registered Funds and client billing related to the Institutional funds. Tasks within the team also support financial statement preparation and internal/external audit reviews.

The Team
The Billing & Expense function is within the broader Fund Operations Domain within Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations (FFIO). The Billing & Expense teams are responsible for the accounting of all fund expenses on the FMR, FIAM and FMTC products, including calculating & invoicing management, performance, transfer agent, P&B, 12b-1 & sub advisory fees for FMR mutual funds, FIAM institutional clients & FMTC pools.
We have a steadfast commitment to delivering accurate and timely accounting of expenses to our internal customers and fund shareholders. You will work extensively with other operations and technology groups across FFIO, Corporate Finance and Accounting, FMR Product and Board Support, FIAM client account executives, FMTC account managers and the Treasurer’s Office. It is a highly critical role in a fast paced, constantly evolving operations group focused on the accuracy of our mutual fund and client account expense accrual, revenue billing and invoice distribution.
