We are currently looking for an Analyst to join our Commercial Finance department in New York.

This will be a hybrid role with 2-3 days required in our NYC office. 

Who are you?

Highly organized, highly motivated, goal and detail-oriented self-starter who is looking to jump in and embrace the Agency’s Commercial Finance team structure and responsibilities.

As a Commercial Finance Analyst, you will play a key role in supporting financial operations across multiple client portfolios. Partnering closely with Commercial Finance, Shared Services (A/P & A/R), Accounting, Client Services, and Project Management, you will ensure accurate financial tracking, invoicing, and reporting while maintaining strong client and vendor relationships.

The task at hand:

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Commercial Finance, Accounting, Client Services, and Project Management teams to align on business priorities and financial needs. Project Closeout & Financial Oversight: Participate in project wrap meetings to ensure all financial aspects (revenue recognition, accounts receivable/payable, WIP releases) are accurately recorded and closed. Budget & Contract Review: Analyze agency budgets and Scope of Work (SOW) agreements to verify accurate invoicing details and payment terms. Revenue & Invoicing Support: Assist the Commercial Finance Lead in the monthly close process, ensuring all invoicing is completed, tracked, and aligned with revenue recognition policies. Accounts Receivable Management: Act as a liaison with the Shared Services (A/R) team to oversee invoicing in NetSuite (ERP), ensuring timely and accurate client payments while maintaining strong client relationships. Billing & Dispute Resolution: Investigate and resolve any client billing discrepancies or invoice-related inquiries. Purchase Order (PO) Management: Review and approve POs, ensuring financial controls and compliance. Accounts Payable Coordination: Work with Shared Services (A/P) to ensure timely vendor payments and adherence to the PO process. Financial Analysis & Special Projects: Support ad hoc projects, including budget analysis, agency cost tracking, forecasting, and staff cost monitoring.

The ideal candidate has:

0-4 years of work within an agency or business service environment in a Commercial Finance, Client Finance or Accounting  Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting or related field Ability to demonstrate strong project management skills, including the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks and responsibilities Experience with Netsuite (or a similar commercial ERP required) Experience with NSPB (or similar planning tools) considered a plus Strong working knowledge of MS Excel and Google Sheets (pivot tables and Vlookups will be your best friends).  Strong ability to partner with cross-functional teams and address business concerns in a diplomatic fashion Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work both independently, and as part of a team while thriving in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

Base Salary

$60,000 - $70,000 USD
