International Risk and Controls sits within International Card Services (ICS) which comprises of all the issuing functions across all 28 international markets excluding the US - colleagues operate across a variety of geographies and disciplines. The objective of the ICS Control Management AEESA Germany & Austria Market Team is to provide specialized and strategic operational risk (OR) advisory specific to product and service areas. The role will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies. ICS Control Management organization is looking for an Analyst of ICS Control Management AEESA Germany & Austria focused on ensuring control management is embedded in the day-to-day operations of our business. It will involve extensive collaboration with multiple partners across numerous business units, functional areas, and geographies. **The Analyst, ICS Control Management AEESA Germany & Austria will:** + Assists in specific areas of execution plans for operational risk management within the business unit (BU), including BU specific guidelines, project plans, etc. + Support the ICS Control Management Manager guiding the business with PRSA and refresh requirements, audit activities, and the end-to-end risk assessment process as per AEMP54 for new products, platforms, and capabilities + Track certain issues with KRI limits and risk appetite for ICS to ensure operational risks are managed within agreed thresholds + Executing targeted projects directed at resolution of control gaps, mitigation of risk and remediation + Support the implementation of parts of the operational risk framework to enable effective risk management and decision making in the BU + Help facilitate the understanding and use of the risk governance framework basics across BUs through regular communication + Assist to aggregate basic level reporting, approvals/exceptions and support "change-the-function" activities for the BU + Follow processes to ensure and monitor the integration of regulatory changes & updates into the Operational Risk framework and training materials + Support sharing insights, better practices, themes, etc. across the Legal Entity + Support the Germany & Austria market Legal Entity Governance Committee (1st line of defense body) by coordinating the info flows, taking minutes, doing follow ups, reviewing the deck and ensuring risks and issues are properly assessed and addressed **Required Qualifications:** + 1-2 Years experience in operational risk management (e.g., within Risk and/or Internal Audit function) + Understanding of critical operational risk management lifecycle activities + Project management, communication, and interpersonal skills + Experience in process governance, with an understanding of processes that align with policies, regulatory frameworks, and/or operational standards + Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an ability to analyze data, identify trends, and evaluate risk scenarios effectively + Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken + Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office software including management of large-scale reports and databases. **Preferred Qualifications:** + Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Risk Mgmt., or related field; advanced degrees (e.g., MBA, MSc) or certifications are advantageous + Experience in at least one of the following: + Tracking and identifying issues with Key Risk Indicator (KRI) limits and risk appetite to ensure operational risks are managed within agreed thresholds + Provide support of implementing the operational risk governance frameworks + Supporting of creating, communicating and ensuring understanding and adherence to operational risk procedures and standards + Assisting the operational risk exam management processes ORMCM **Qualifications** We back our colleagues and their loved ones with benefits and programs that support their holistic well-being.
