Overview of the Department/Section
The Japanese Corporate Banking Division for EMEA (JCBD, London) is a Front Office function in charge of business development of customers located in the United Kingdom and other demarcated countries in EMEA, of which the ultimate parent companies are Japanese Corporates.
This position will entail joining a team of Front Office Relationship Managers focused on business development across a portfolio of corporates diversified by sector and size, and support account management duties including business development, credit analysis/monitoring and handling daily operational requests from clients. This requires effective collaboration with support functions including but not limited to Product, Credit, Compliance and other business partners.

Main Purpose of the Role
The role will have responsibility for supporting relationship managers to manage a portfolio of corporate clients, driving business growth. This requires an ability to respond to requests from the supporting relationship manager in a timely manner with appropriate instruction, guidance and support provided by this team.
Key Responsibilities
Effectively support relationship managers to handle daily tasksUndertake ongoing training and development to build skills and knowledgeDevelop a strong understanding of MUFG’s credit policy and proceduresPrepare business proposals/materials, potentially attend client meetings with relationship managersSupport relationship managers handling operations while complying with internal proceduresCoordinate with relevant divisions (e.g. Operations, Markets, Transaction Banking division, Credit division, etc.) to respond to client’s request, join internal meetings with themSupport to perform regular credit analysis including creating credit applications, borrower ratings, collecting information to monitor credit portfolioWork Experience
Experience of working towards deadlines and communicating effectively with various stakeholders.
