Overview of the Role

The Analyst, Financial Planning and Analysis will have the opportunity to provide deep insights into the monthly, quarterly and yearly financial results for the business as well as support forecasting activities and advanced analytics.  The Analyst, FP&A will also act as a trusted business partner to all business units leveraging resources across the organization to contribute to the identification of actionable insights for strategic decision making. How you will make contributions that matter:

Perform variance analyses and data validation of periodic divisional reports. The FP&A Analyst will be responsible to analyse divisional performance compared to comparative period and budget and prepare the monthly performance packages for senior management.

Serve as a business partner to the respective divisions’ finance teams.

Help prepare quarterly and annual public financial reports as well as supporting documentation presented to senior management.

Support the team in preparing financial information included in the Management’s Discussion and Analysis.

Participate in the annual budget process.

Participate in the preparation of the Annual Information Form.

Help prepare the documentation required for external and internal audits.

Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives around financial processes and analysis models.

Participate in special projects in which corporate accounting could be involved.

You are best suited for the role if you have the following qualifications:

CPA preferred or CPA candidate having passed CFE;

Minimum 1-3 years experience required (firm or industry)

Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and solve problems

Strong accountability and ownership mindset

Strong communication skills in both spoken and written English and French.

A highly dynamic individual seeking a challenging role and the opportunity for growth

High degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills

Attitude of continuous improvement

Intermediate to advanced skills with MS Excel and PowerPoint

Knowledge of SAP and Workiva, an asset

Excellent communication skills and the ability to establish solid interpersonal relationships

As part of their duties, the incumbent will have to communicate and collaborate in English, both orally and in writing with colleagues or other stakeholders in Quebec as well as in the rest of Canada or in North America.

SALARY RANGE: $65,010 - $85,320

*Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training.
