We Are Brookfield Properties:We are seeking an Accounting/FP&A Associate to join the Brookfield Properties U.S. Office Division in Washington, DC. Role & Responsibilities:Assist with monthly and quarterly IFRS financial statement forecastingPreparation of financial analysis, market analysis and board presentations for management reviewAnalyze cash flow projection reports for existing propertiesAssist in preparation of annual budgets, discounted cash flows and valuation projections for corporate business planPrepare quarterly leasing forecast, which includes updates of actual leasing activity, forecasted leasing assumptions, and early tenant expirationsPerform ad-hoc projects and financial analysis for management as neededWork closely with the accounting team during monthly close cycles to ensure accuracyCoordinate with asset management, lease administration, corporate services, marketing, and investor relationsYour Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in related major, accounting or finance degree a plus2-3 years experience in accounting, ideally in the real estate industryAccrual and/or financial statement experience requiredArgus experience a plusFamiliarity with Yardi preferredAbility to work in a fact-paced environment, juggling multiple deadlinesSelf-motivated and proactive, both with respect to managing workload and own professional developmentAbility to handle large volume of work; good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, especially ExcelAbility to quickly learn new analytic and reporting systemsExcellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving abilityStrong written and verbal communication skillsYour Career @ Brookfield PropertiesAt Brookfield Properties, your career progression is important to us. Compensation & Benefits:
Salary Type: Exempt
Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly
Annual Base Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000
Medical & Pharmacy Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Dental Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Vision Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan
Retirement: 401(k)
