The Analyst, Functional Planning, will support the Scientific and In Vivo Strategies (SIS) team within Preclinical Sciences and Translational Safety (PSTS) by using data analysis, reporting, and business intelligence solutions to optimize operations and inform decision-making. This role will focus on assisting with the execution of operational plans, providing data-driven insights to enhance performance, and supporting decision-making across global teams. The position requires a strong foundation in data analysis and reporting, with an emphasis on business management, operational planning, and process optimization, using key business intelligence tools.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Collect, analyze, and report on key metrics to provide actionable insights that drive decision-making and support business planning.
+ Develop and manage dashboards and reports to visualize KPIs and track performance across global sites.
+ Build data models to support operational analysis and find opportunities for process improvements.
+ Leverage data analysis to optimize operational efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
+ Use a variety of business intelligence platforms and reporting tools to structure and analyze data, ensuring scalable and maintainable solutions.
+ Support the integration of tools such as Office 365, Power Automate, and other systems to streamline business processes and enhance operational workflows.
+ Collaborate with SIS partners to gather requirements and translate them into actionable data analysis and reporting projects that support operational planning.
+ Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with business goals.
+ Contribute to the execution of process improvement initiatives and support special projects aimed at exploring emerging technologies for better operational efficiency.
+ Assist with the implementation of new solutions and feasibility pilots to enhance operational processes and capabilities.
+ Create, maintain, and optimize SharePoint 365 and Teams sites to support collaboration, data management, and workflow efficiency.
+ Use Office 365 tools to automate tasks, streamline workflows, and improve data aggregation and reporting.
**Qualifications**
Education:
+ A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., data science, business analytics, information systems, or a related field) is required. An advanced degree (e.g., master's) is preferred.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
+ 3+ years of experience in data analysis, reporting, or business intelligence roles, with a focus on operational analytics and process optimization is required.
+ Proficiency in business intelligence tools and platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Smartsheets, or similar tools) is required.
+ Experience with SharePoint, Teams, and Office 365 tools is required. .
+ Strong ability to interpret data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights to improve operational performance is required.
+ Strong experience with business intelligence and data analysis tools to support reporting and decision-making is required.
+ Demonstrated ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools and technologies as needed is required.
+ Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across multiple functions and geographic locations is required.
+ Familiarity with streamlining business processes and improving operational efficiency using technology and data is required.
+ Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting insights, creating reports, and collaborating with teams is required
Preferred:
+ Experience with data modeling, data warehousing, and data mining techniques is preferred.
+ Familiarity with process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma) is preferred.
+ Experience supporting operational planning within a life sciences or preclinical environment is an advantage.
+ Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry best methods is preferred.
