Job Description

Human Resources Services (HRS) is an internal function providing global operations and business support across Brookfield’s lines of business.

Position Summary

As a member of the HR Service Desk (HRSD), the Analyst, HR Operations will primarily be responsible for providing day-to-day HR administrative support in the various HR functions including HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) administration and reporting, recruitment, onboarding, job change and terminations.  The primary responsibility is to ensure quality customer service to both employees and the larger global HR team.  This role supports global transactions for Brookfield Asset Management and affiliate organizations.   

Responsibilities

Provide Tier 1 Workday HR customer service support to employees and various teams (HR, Payroll, Benefits) globally.

Respond to requests generated via tickets, email inquiry, chat or telephone inquiries in a timely and consistent manner, ensuring all requests are logged into the case management system 

Provide transactional assistance within Workday for new hire, job change, one-time payment, leave and termination business processes 

Provide employee assistance with self-service transactions within Workday 

Update and maintain SOPs, training materials and other documentation, as needed 

Identify opportunities to improve processes, recommend solutions or alternate methods to meet requirements 

Follow up on outstanding tickets to ensure requests and issues are resolved in a timely manner 

Assist with and support HRS annual processes eg. Annual Talent Cycle, Open Enrollment, RRSP

Providing back-up support with interview scheduling for the talent acquisition team

Support new joiners in completing onboarding activities

Support HR in administrative activities such as employment verification, unemployment claims, and other duties as assigned 

Qualifications & Requirements

Customer service background and orientation

Post-secondary education 

Minimum 3 years of administrative experience in Human Resources capacity in a professional services environment 

Experience with an HRIS (Workday experience is an asset) in a high-volume shared services environment is preferred

Experience supporting various levels of employees 

Ability to work with Excel to review and audit data using formulas such as Vlookups and pivot tables 

Ability to independently solve problems and exercise sound judgment, using previous experience and analysis where requests are more complex or non-standard 

Analytical thinker 

Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Conscientious with a strong attention to accuracy and details 

Highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities 

Self-motivated to take initiative and ownership on issues and manage to resolution 

Ability to handle confidential information 

Intermediate to advanced computer skills including MS Office applications: Word, Excel PowerPoint and Outlook 

Salary Range: $80,000 - $85,000
