**Overview:**
The Industrials Investment Banking group at Scotiabank covers leading companies and financial investors across a wide range of sectors, including automotive and business and industrial services. The Industrials team is focused on building and maintaining relationships with senior executives and private equity professionals and providing these clients with a full suite of investment banking services, including advising on mergers & acquisitions and equity & debt capital market transactions.
**What You’ll Do**
+ Champion a client-centric culture focused on deepening relationships within the Industrial sector
+ Leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge to deliver tailored solutions that generate revenue.
+ Coordinate with various product groups and industry teams within GBM, including Leveraged Finance, ECM, and DCM to provide comprehensive services to clients.
+ Develop and maintain effective industry relationships with key clients in the Industrial sector
+ Actively support Associate Directors and Managing Directors on mandates for key clients, ensuring strong execution and coordination with other areas of Scotiabank to deliver multi-product pitches and offerings.
+ Execute complex transactions with limited senior management oversight, focusing on day-to-day execution of mandates.
+ Ensure efficient and accurate completion of work products.
+ Actively partner with group leaders and the broader team to build team dynamics and engagement across teams.
**What You’ll Bring**
+ 1+ year work experience in Investment Banking.
+ Bachelors or Masters Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Math, Engineering, Economics, Science or Technology
+ Strong quantitative skills focused on financial analysis, accounting and financial theory
+ Command of financial modeling, including Discounted Cash Flow, LBO, and pro forma merger analysis
+ A high level of attention to detail
+ Experience using industry standard market data sources, such as FactSet, Merger market, Bloomberg, and other sources
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills
+ The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a high standard of work
+ The ability to excel under pressure amid demanding deadlines
+ The ability to perform effectively in a team environment
+ High professional standards including a strong sense of personal integrity and teamwork
+ Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to new situations
+ A high level of energy and a keen desire to learn new concepts
+ Independent thinker and proven ability to make decisions
+ Obtain and maintain required FINRA registration and licensing appropriate to your functions and responsibilities
