**This role in summary**
Whirlpool is currently seeking qualified candidates for an Analyst, Material Engineering. This role is located at our Tulsa, OK site. As a Materials Engineering Analyst you will be responsible for material flow within the Tulsa plant including purchased and internally fabricated parts ensuring high levels of traceability and efficient material delivery. You will be responsible for leading and driving change through the deployment of World Class Manufacturing tools to support capacity and product design changes for the Tulsa manufacturing material flow.
You will lead all activities associated with designing standard processes in the warehouse, designing layouts, cart design, storing strategies and standard work for materials activities such as repack and sequencing processes, defining and improving routes for material delivery, developing efficient processes and maximizing labor utilization for operational areas assigned. Using strong data analysis, you will own budgeting and projects regarding continuous improvement, as well as, the efficient use of the plant's human resources.
You will lead continuous improvement activities through implementation of WCM (World Class Manufacturing) and lean principles and technology to establish an improved future state. You will maintain daily follow-ups with key stakeholders while driving improvements in material flow to multiple assembly lines.
**Your responsibilities will include**
+ Adherence to policies and procedures of Inventory Management (internal and external controls);
+ Lead ergonomic and time studies for materials activities;
+ Draw and maintain updated layouts for warehouses;
+ Develop and maintain manpower worksheets controls;
+ Develop and maintain scorecards with macros and advanced formulas;
+ Assess receiving, warehousing, picking and handling activities to determine best resources allocation;
+ Identify opportunities and lead projects for cost reduction in equipment and resources;
+ Lead project launch from a material perspective and achieve 0 downtime due to lack of parts;
+ Implement sequencing processes for multiple processes;
+ Implement advanced technological features in material handling;
+ Lead lean activities to determine safety and cost reduction opportunities;
+ Lead cost studies to determine best product flow in the plant and product features;
+ Collaborate cross functional teams to provide insight into how to minimize labor requirements and determine delivery processes;
+ Serve as a point of contact for cross-functional partners - both internal to Whirlpool and external;
+ Provide ways/methods to eliminate all types of waste in the production process;
+ Ensure new models/parts efficiently integrate into operations;
+ Drive continuous improvement through detailed analytics;
+ Ensure strict adherence to all Whirlpool manufacturing standards/methods;
+ Live the Whirlpool Leadership Model and drive it within the team.
**Minimum requirements**
+ High School Diploma or GED and working towards an Associate’s Degree in Business or Engineering with ananticipated graduation date of 2028 or prior
+ 3+ years of experience working in a manufacturing environment
+ 1+ years of Materials engineering or continuous improvement experience
+ 2+ years of leading projects in cross functional relationships
**Preferred skills and experiences**
+ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering
+ Strong data analytical skills
+ AutoCad 2D and/or 3D modeling experience
+ Advanced Excel knowledge (formulas, matrices, macros/VBA programming)
+ Use of Google Tools (Google: Docs, Sheets, Slides & Forms)
+ Profound understanding of the Lean manufacturing methodology and application
+ Proven track record in driving results in materials management
+ A broad understanding of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems and SAP
+ Lean certifications will be considered a differential
+ Good verbal and written English.RSRWH
