ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Analyzing and researching municipal issuers and borrowers in a wide range of sectors (general governmental, K-12, pension, economic development, higher education, etc.)Assist in gathering and analyzing all relevant financial data for a client or prospect, including analyzing historical performance, accurately calculating credit metrics, identifying risks and mitigants, assessing creditworthiness, etc.Assist in modeling future financial performance of clients and prospects, including downside and breakeven scenarios.Assist in preparing a thorough credit underwriting document identifying credit risks and mitigants, demographic concerns, financial trends, and other pertinent credit issuesEngaging in comprehensive client and credit researchTake part in the approval process for lending commitments, amendments, waivers, and consents, including answering questions from Credit ExecutivesAssist in compliance with all Know Your Customer (“KYC”) regulationsProperly maintain documentation and necessary business recordsAssist senior staff in monitoring the ongoing financial performance of municipalities in the portfolio and tracking covenant compliance

REQUIRED COMPETENCIES/SKILLS

Experience with / knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including significant experience with Microsoft ExcelDemonstrated strong written skillsDemonstrated competence in financial analysis and financial modelingUnderstanding of fundamental financial conceptsAbility to plan, multi-task, manage time effectively, and work independently with limited directionAbility to communicate professionally, competently, and persuasively in verbal and written formats

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or equivalent work experience
