Ally Financial, Inc. manages a full range of aftermarket vehicle protection products available to consumers, including vehicle service contracts, guaranteed asset protection (GAP) waivers, prepaid maintenance, and ancillary Protection Products (tire/wheel, dent restore, windshield repair, key fob, theft, and appearance protection) in Canada. The team identifies market needs through strong collaboration with our matrix partners as well as by having an in depth understanding of the competitive marketplace for such products.
The Product Analyst will report to the Product Manager, supporting the development of new finance & insurance (F&I) products and updating existing F&I products that are sold through various dealer networks. This position will require collaboration with matrix partners throughout the organization, including Sales, Pricing/Actuarial, IT Systems Sustain, Configuration, Operations, Legal / Regulatory, Sales Support, and Project Management. The position will also involve collaboration with our Canadian Products business unit.
The Work Itself Champion organizational change management through collaborative efforts with matrix partners to identify new Canadian F&I product opportunities and to strengthen existing product positions in the market Lead market analysis and competitive reviews through research; be able to summarize & present findings to management Support third party relationships associated with delivering services for our ancillary Protection Products in Canada Act as a Subject Matter Expert on all ancillary Protection Products and GAP products in Canada Grow knowledge about the Canadian automotive warranty and insurance industry, including the identification of emerging trends in the F&I product market Support the enhancement of Ally’s existing F&I product suite as well as the development / introduction of new F&I products Support the creation of consumer point-of-sale materials, internal/external communications relating to F&I products Support/collaborate with matrix partners to develop training programs over existing and new F&I products; serve as a subject matter expert on product training calls with the field sales team Develop and execute tactical planning aligned to department strategy Assist in defining, analyzing, and reporting out on key product performance metrics Support corporate governance and reporting related to product introductions Work collaboratively with Risk, Compliance, and Legal to facilitate required contract / customer agreement changes to satisfy lender and/or state specific requirements Identify innovation and business opportunities within the automotive F&I market Collaborate with our Canadian Products Team, sharing knowledge to develop best-in-class products in both markets Complete special projects relating to F&I products as neededManage and solicit competitive intel repository
The Skills You Bring Bachelor's degree in business, finance or economics preferred1-3 years of experience in the financial services industry, required.
