The Analyst, US ERM Programs is accountable for supporting the Senior Program Director, Risk Reporting and Innovation in the development and ongoing implementation of the following:
+ Risk Data – analyze and implement Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and related Management Information Systems (MIS) to track and report KRIs
+ Risk Reporting – analyze and enhance existing reports and design new reports and MIS supporting integrated risk reporting.
+ Process Improvement and Automation – understand existing processes and controls, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, including the use of technology to automate workflows and controls.
+ Governance, Risk, and Controls (GRC) – maintain an integrated data management (GRC) system.
Position requires a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field with 0 - 3 years of work history; experience with application development or report development using visualization tools, including Power BI (preferred), Tableau or similar; and, an understanding of relational databases and SQL.
Preferred qualifications include: (1) continuous improvement and automation of existing processes using Robotic Process Automation (RPA) tools, preferably Power Automate; (2) development using Power Apps and Dataverse (3) programming skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, HTML, XML) and (4) experience in the banking industry and in financial risk management.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
+ Participate in continuous improvement and automation of metrics and related data capture and reporting mechanisms, including, but not limited to, replacement of legacy spreadsheet and email-based processes with automated SharePoint, PowerApps, Power BI, and/or database solutions.
+ Document business needs and requirements for Key Risk Indicator and other risk reporting.
+ Analyze requirements for risk reporting to design and implement new or modified risk reports, at times working with the Parent and other groups to leverage existing MIS and data platforms.
+ Analyze and recommend system and process changes to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of Key Risk Indicator calculation and reporting, including automation of KRIs, processes for calibrating KRI limits, and dashboarding and reporting of KRIs.
+ Assist in the development of test plans. Manage and/or support testing efforts.
+ Perform business analysis for ad-hoc projects and initiatives, including assessment and documentation of requirements, process design and documentation, and participation in project planning and supporting implementation.

At CIBC, we offer a competitive total rewards package. This role has an expected salary range of $62,000 - $92,000 for the market based on experience, qualifications, and location of the position. The successful candidate may be eligible to participate in the relevant business unit’s incentive compensation plan, which may also include a discretionary bonus component.
