The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for the planning, coordinating, monitoring and analyzing all supply chain costs and key performance metrics including, performance to plan, monthly accruals of operational and capital expenses.

 

This role will use analytic processes to find root causes to supply chain cost variance of the entire supply chain team, including distribution, transportation, and parcel operations to solve issues and support operations.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and oversee monthly financial accounting and accrual for Supply Chain

Leverage existing reports or request for new reports as needed to support Monthly accrual processRun backend Excel, Access, JDA, WMS and other system queries to feed reports Collaborate with Finance for monthly close and financial reporting issuesComplete analysis on budgetary gaps between actuals vs forecast/planCollaborate with extended supply chain teams (DCs, Transportation and Analytics) along with finance to identify root cause of financial varianceCreate monthly report/deck to report supply chain performance and drive the discussion with the team to identify the root cause of trends in the key metricsComplete analysis to investigate potential opportunity areasMonitor and escalate changes in key metrics; research and identify root causePresent findings and recommendations to functional business partners and management throughout the business

Performs other duties as required. Qualifications

Education/Certification:        

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain , Math/Statistics , Accounting/Finance or related discipline or, equivalent combination of intellectual instruction and work experience.

Required Knowledge:                             

Intermediate to advance level knowledge of ExcelBasic to intermediate to advance level knowledge of AccessBasic to intermediate level of knowledge of SQLFirm understanding of financial concepts such as debit/credit, GL accounts/cost centers (chart of accounts), accrual accounting, capital expense, purchase orders, petty cash, and amortization/depreciation.

 Experience Required:                              

0-2 years related experience.

Skill and Ability:                                          

Excellent problem solving skills with the ability to structure analysis independently and identify root causes for issuesAbility to multi-tasked with extreme attention to detail while working on multiple projectsAbility to work independently and manage time effectively to prioritize projects with several business areasExcellent interpersonal, communication, and follow through skillsComfortable working in a fast pace environment with a multicultural staffA team player
