About the role:

The purpose of this role is to manage, investigate and log justifications relating to Transaction Monitoring System (TMS) alerts generated by the Bank and pertaining to customers in Australia and New Zealand.

This role will contribute to the development and implementation of best-in-class TMS alert monitoring function within the Oceania Compliance team.

What you’ll be doing:

Day-to-day Transaction Monitoring and identifying and potential suspicious or fraudulent activity

Analyse data from customer and financial institutions to identify any fraudulent activity

Conduct Enhanced Due Diligence

Ensure that AML Compliance risks are adequately identified, assessed, monitored, controlled and reported as required

Support and build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders such as Managers and Senior Investigators

Promote awareness of TMS requirements

Prepare analytics and reports to identify, monitor and track TMS alert outcomes

Assist with any other tasks/projects or reports as required from time-to-time

Provide a high level of service in relation to internal and external customers

Liaison with APAC Compliance, Global Financial Crime Division and Global Compliance Division to ensure timely, accurate and consistent reporting

Manage and build relationships with internal stakeholders as it relates to Compliance, locally regionally and globally.

What we are looking for:

As the successful candidate, you will have solid Anti-Money Laundering experience in financial services, banking or a related industry.  Transaction Monitoring and Sanctions experience is highly advantageous, however training can be provided.  You’ll have strong knowledge of AML/CFT laws, rules and regulations.

You will be a quick learner with strong analytical skills, excellent time management and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy. You’ll collaborate and build partnerships, communicate effectively and professionally, drive for results and seek continuous improvement.

A tertiary qualification in business or finance is advantageous.

This is a 6-month contract and we are happy to consider candidates on temporary visas.
