Analyst, Trust and Safety, Search
Minimum qualifications: + Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience. + Experience relaying communications between technical and non-technical teams. + 4 years of experience in data analysis, working with databases and querying (e.g., SQL, MySQL, MapReduce, and Hadoop). Preferred qualifications: + Experience in abuse analytics, trust and safety, policy, cyber-security, or related fields. + Experience using statistical analysis, analyzing machine learning models performance or working on Large Language Models (LLMs). + Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills with attention to detail in an ever-changing environment. + Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills to clearly communicate technical concepts with multiple cross-regional and cross-functional stakeholders. Trust and Safety team members are tasked with identifying and taking on the biggest problems that challenge the safety and integrity of our products. They use technical know-how, excellent problem-solving skills, user insights, and proactive communication to protect users and our partners from abuse across Google products like Search, Maps, Gmail, and Google Ads. On this team, you're a big-picture thinker and strategic team-player with a passion for doing what’s right. You work globally and cross-functionally with Google engineers and product managers to identify and fight abuse and fraud cases at Google speed - with urgency. We partner with teams across Google to deliver bold solutions in abuse areas such as malware, spam and account hijacking. A diverse team of Analysts, Policy Specialists, Engineers, and Program Managers, we work to reduce risk and fight abuse across all of Google’s products, protecting our users, advertisers, and publishers across the globe in over 40 languages. + Protect Google Search users from abuse, inappropriate content and fraud through investigation, prevention and removal of quality issues from Search results. + Work across user centric issues in search result that prevent user harm, financial fraud, and identity theft such as non consensual explicit images, involuntary fake pornography, exploitative removal practices, doxxing, etc. + Troubleshoot issues and product vulnerabilities to implement quality improvements. Analyze and identify new abuse trends, develop insights and recommendations to enable effective solutions and lead projects to ensure Google Search complies with regulations. + Conduct and action data analyses as well as identify new signals to improve search quality. Drive the utilization of these new signals to completion. + Work with sensitive content or situations and may be exposed to graphic, controversial, or upsetting topics or content.
