The Analyst, U.S. International Tax will work with US-based international tax professionals on the US international tax compliances, including preparing the U.S. international components of the U.S. federal income tax return, and assist the global tax planning team to provide help with other international tax needs on adhoc basis.
Salary Range: $70,500 to $80,000 annually + bonus eligibility. This is the expected salary range for this position. Ultimately, in determining pay, we'll consider the successful candidate’s location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Scope and Magnitude:
This role is responsible for assisting with annual U.S. international tax compliances and IRS audit responses related to international tax issues (approx. 90% of the time). The role also will support the global tax planning team in all aspects of international tax issues (approx. 10% of the time).
Responsibilities:
Prepare complex US tax returns for domestic and foreign subsidiaries (Forms 1120-F, 5471, 5472, 8858, 899X, etc.) including calculating E&P, Tax pools, stock basis, actual and deemed dividends (Subpart F, Section 956, PTI, etc.) Prepare and/or assist with filing and tracking US entity classification filings Prepare and/or assist with obtaining US tax residency certificates Assist with developing responses to IRS audit requests related to international entities / transactions and identify risks associated with such IDRs Support tax planning projects to drive shareholder value by building working knowledge of a broad range of international tax issues and provide assistance with other international tax functions on ad hoc basis. Bachelor’s degree in accounting required Master’s degree with CPA certification and/or JD with LLM in Taxation preferredExperience:
At least 2 years tax experience in compliance or planning functions. Big 4 experience preferred. Strong track record of working closely with various groups within a corporate structure (e.g. treasury, finance, operations) Strong track record of project management, problem solving, strategic thinking and effective business communication skills. Extended experience and proficient with Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Power Query.
