Summary:  This position is open for applicants in Houston and Dallas TX.  We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Capital Cost Analyst to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial in supporting the financial and operational performance of our Midstream assets. The successful candidate will provide critical analysis of maintenance capital expenditures (CapEx) and potentially operating costs (OpEx), ensuring the alignment of spending with corporate financial goals. The ideal candidate has 2-5 years of relevant experience in the Midstream industry, particularly in analyzing and reporting on maintenance capital projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Track and analyze maintenance capital expenditures, ensuring alignment with annual budgets and long-term capital plans. Provide detailed monthly and quarterly reports on CapEx spending for internal stakeholders. Assist in the preparation of capital expenditure forecasts, variance analysis, and scenario planning. Collaborate with various departments including finance, engineering, operations, and procurement to ensure comprehensive understanding of maintenance capital projects and their financial implication Identify opportunities for process improvements within the maintenance capital and cost management processes. Support audits and provide financial documentation for internal and external auditors.

Requirements:  Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements for this position are listed below:

Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. 2-5 years of experience specifically in maintenance capital, ideally within the Midstream industry. Strong understanding of capital budgeting and cost control processes. Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.). Proficiency in MS Excel; experience with data analytics software is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex data and provide actionable insights. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and present to senior leadership. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Experience with other financial tools like TM1 or PowerBI Fixed Assets knowledge a plus FERC knowledge a plus

Required experience is commensurate with the selected job level:

The Associate Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 0-2 years of relevant job-related experience. The Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 2-5 years of relevant job related experience. The Senior Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 5+ years of relevant job-related experience. The Lead Analyst level requires a bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and 8+ years of relevant job-related experience.

Usually, normal office working conditions. Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time due to prolonged periods of sitting or standing.   Occasional overnight travel may be required.
