We have a fantastic opportunity for an EHS Manager to join our team on a permanent basis to oversee Environment, Health & Safety for our Spennymoor site.

What You’ll Do

Reporting into the Operations Manager with a dotted line into the Regional EHS Lead, you will provide EHS leadership, advice and compliance assurance to ensure that the Spennymoor site operates to a high level of EHS continuous improvement. You will also champion and lead a zero-harm culture, ensuring the site adheres to the Environmental Health & Safety regulations.

Manage any technical, facilities & EHS related issues

Manage the maintenance, Health & Safety and environmental teams completing their performance reviews and ongoing development

Maintain awareness appropriate to the business, of current and changing legislative requirements, and advise management on any implications

Providing EHS advice to all levels of stakeholder, ensuring appropriate levels of understanding

Working together with the Site Leadership and with support from Global EHS Team to ensure:

Compliance with regulatory requirements

Accurate implementation of Corporate policies and programs

Actual implementation of improvement plans consistent with annual EHS goals and programmes

Working together with the Operations Manager to drive all relevant EHS training requirements for Site Leadership and all other employees

What are we looking for?

Demonstrable experience in an EHS capacity

NEBOSH National General Certificate or higher

Strong knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety basic regulatory and legal framework

Proficient IT skills using various platforms including Microsoft Office
