Position Summary

This role will be primarily focused on analytics & data mining that measures loss specific to operating departments within the store, as well as analytics and reporting focused to address and implement corrective actions related to the upstream drivers of shrink. Identify best practices, training/ procedural issues and solutions that support visibility & action ability to help prevent shrink and sales reducing activity while supporting profitable sales growth.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Analyze drivers of shrink and develop reporting, insights, and updates to support the development and execution of corrective plans. Responsible for assigned areas of regular weekly and period reporting of key shrink metrics, period Visual Reporting, Ranking reports and supporting data for shrink prevention. Work to simplify reports for end users and ensure best supports action. Provide quality oversight validation for shrink metrics and visual reporting. Assist the Shrink Manager in development of presentations, summary documents and updates for executive leadership, merchandising, supply chain, finance and operations to support shrink awareness and driving profitable sales. Provide measurement, input and tracking support for shrink reduction initiatives and pilot tests. Partner with merchandising and asset protection teams to identify and investigate associate and customer behaviors impacting shrink, loss, and/or sales reducing activity, and support identification of root causes and potential preventative solutions. Perform analysis and reporting from a merchandising profitability perspective to support business needs and goals on a period and ad hoc basis partnering with Category teams, Finance, Pricing and other support areas. Assist with validation of metrics and tracking of performance to goals. Work on simplifying report format & delivery to ensuring best meets merchant needs. Need to meet and partner with cross functional business partners such as merchandising, supply chain, HR, Merchandising services to support identification of upstream processes that can be addressed or changed to prevent shrink and sales loss centrally rather than requiring action by each individual store. Identify best practices, training, procedural issues, and solutions that support visibility/action ability to prevent shrink and sales reducing activity Assist in the development of presentations to category teams and leadership to support shrink awareness\"
Basic Qualifications
Proficient in Microsoft Previous analyst/accounting experience Ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to lead through influence
Preferred Qualifications
Merchandising and/or Category experience Project Management experience DSS, Alteryx, SEGA, ACIS, Essbase experience Prior Retail Operations experience
Education
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
Experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years combined experience in retail, merchandising, category, pricing, logistics, supply chain, procurement, or distribution.
