Purpose of the position:
In this position, the Analyst will be a core member of the Engineering Asset Management team. You will be responsible for the verification and accurate adjustment of track asset data, which is then used within various downstream applications. The successful candidate will also support various EAM Plant Maintenance applications as well as updating other CPKC inventory databases.
Position accountabilities:
Ability to correlate GIS asset data to tabular data and vice versa Spatially recognize a track/point asset in tabular view and translate it to a GIS feature Perform “1 to 1” review of track/point assets so every asset that exists in tabular data, exists solely and accurately in the GIS database Review and perform mile post updates of track/point assets to show them accurately in data, while also aligning with other internal/external systems Update any track changes done in the field to internal CPKC systems such as, but not limited to, PTC, TEC, GIS, CTN, Time Table, TYES and TAM/SAP Make sure all track/point assets have the accurate inspection frequencies while aligning with field and regulatory requirements Work closely with industrial development team to make sure billable assets are accounted for as well as maintenance limits on those assets Capability to build/update yard maps Coordinate with internal/external groups when working with LiDAR collected dataPosition requirements:
High School diploma University Degree in Engineering or Post-Secondary education in related field, or equivalent field experience Ability to use Microsoft Office applications Experience in inspection of Engineering track assets is helpful Experience in collecting and balancing track asset data is preferred Knowledge of ArcGIS, GIS tools, and SAP PM is preferredWhat CPKC has to offer:
