This role will be the process and master data owner of business cost assumptions and define the cost calculation process methodology. This role will transform existing and create new documentation explaining global cost calculations into simple, clear, and concise user documents that are user friendly and support increased business understanding and awareness. This role will deliver annual request for information exercises to update cost assumptions and assist the business introduce new cost assumptions aligned with business events.
This role will be responsible for delivering simple, clear, and concise reporting of cost of complexity monthly results to business teams. The role will also support our analytics team to automate the report into a dashboard.
This role will foster a continuous improvement culture and “active listening” to data user needs, ensuring feedback is translated into enhancement projects documented on an improvement roadmap for each report. This role will lead initiatives related to costing system logic to rollout regular improvements.
Role and responsibilities
Own global cost of complexity reporting, driving report automation
Create and maintain cost activity, unit of measure and calculation methodology master data
Lead business impact analysis when there are changes to cost assumptions / calculation.
Contribute to ad hoc analysis requests: ensuring analysis clearly answers the business request
Ensure review meetings have a clear agenda and minutes / actions / action owners are captured
Collaborate with action owners to ensure business actions are progressed and actioned
Own clear and concise progress communications to role stakeholders
Work experience:
Minimum three years’ experience in business role (logistics or healthcare desirable)
Experience managing small projects or improving processes is desirable
Educational background:
Educated to at least bachelor’s degree level
Part qualified or willing to complete an accounting qualification
Skills requirements:
Experience using Mercury Gate, SAP, Hyperion or Alteryx is desirable
Fluent in English (verbal and written)
Intermediate Microsoft Excel knowledge (xlookups, sumifs, pivots)
Confident user of Microsoft Teams & Outlook applications
Able to explain and present work in a simple, clear, and concise matter
Understand the concepts and methodologies of costing
Knowledge of continuous improvement and project management process
