Job Summary:
The Analyst II, Business Intelligence position reports to the Manager of Business Intelligence and plays a key role in advancing reporting and analytics goals at Estes. Key responsibilities include developing dynamic BI reports, meeting with business stakeholders, gathering project requirements, tracking initiatives, and ensuring that all reporting needs are met in a timely and efficient manner. This position requires attention to detail, effective communication, and a passion for learning and solving problems.
Develop visually appealing and interactive Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizations based on stakeholder requirements and data analytics needs. Proactively monitor and maintain existing Power BI reports, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and optimal performance. Engage in brainstorming sessions with business stakeholders and document report requirements through Design Sketches. Assist with training end users on how to navigate, interpret, and effectively utilize Power BI reports. Provide guidance and support to ensure users can access, analyze, and interpret data accurately and confidently. Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Power BI, data visualization techniques, and business intelligence tools. Identify opportunities to enhance reporting capabilities, streamline processes, and improve data analysis efficiency. Collaborate effectively with team members, data engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth data integration, sharing of insights, and alignment of reporting strategies. Provide project leadership to assigned projects, under guidance of Business Intelligence Manager. Take ownership of professional development by staying informed about industry trends, attending training sessions, webinars, and conferences to enhance skills and knowledge in business intelligence, data analysis, and Power BI. Regular attendance is required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or any equivalent combination of education and experience. 1 or more years of developing reports with a dynamic BI Tool required, Power BI preferred. 3 or more years of analysis and/or general business experience preferred. Proven experience applying data visualization principles and best practices, with the ability to distill complex information into easily readable reports and documents preferred. Self-motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with a keen attention to detail. Knowledge of Agile methodologies and experience with JIRA is a plus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
