The position sits within the Land Administration department but works closely with other departments to achieve the mapping needs of the organization. Under the leader’s guidance, the Lease Analyst II, will ensure the proper analysis and interpretation of Oil and Gas leases as well as the continued maintenance and accuracy of these leases.


 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Analyzes, interprets, and maintains leases and contracts for operated and non-operated propertiesReview and input of Leases and Contracts in the Quorum Land SystemMonitor well production and coordinate with other departments to proactively avoid loss of acreageReview of documents and supporting information to verify obligation payments for surface, rentals, delay rentals, and minimum royalty paymentsDetermine working interests and burdens associated with interests based on title analysis of deeds, assignments, purchase & sale agreements, probate documents, leases, and royalty agreementsActs as liaison to Accounting, Land, and Division Orders departments when necessaryEnsure provisions are accurately identified, obligation payments are met, and keep leases and contracts validOther duties as assigned by manager

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or Four (4) years of equivalent experience in the Land Admin Field5 years Oil and Gas Lease Analyst experienceStrong knowledge of MS Office, including Word, Excel, and OutlookAbility to balance multiple prioritiesMust be well organizedAbility to communicate both written and verbal

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with Quorum preferredExperience working with Indian, State, and Federal leases within the Midland and Delaware basinsPossess strong interpersonal skills
