The mission of the Role: The Test Technology Engineer will integrate a globally distributed team designing and developing test strategies and technologies for High-Voltage Power Electronics and Battery Management Systems (BMS) for EV’s, and for the next generation of cockpit systems architectures such as SmartCore/Infotainment, ADAS, Digital Clusters/Displays. The TTE will work with other key technology experts in the definition of test methods and specifications for different HW architectures, test coverage analysis, and bookshelf of test procedures.


Key Objectives of the Role:

Coordinate testers design to verify the functionality of BMS / OBC / DC-DC / BJB parts to be utilized in the manufacturing process to ensure product acceptability. Testing of HV power electronic parts during prototype and DV product build phases. Create and implement design verification methods, test cases and validation criteria to improve test coverage. Interpret customer specifications to define manufacturing-focused requirements. Derive and define requirements for technical solutions and their proper testing. Collaborate with Systems in the definition and preparation of Test and Calibration Specifications (TCS) Collaborate with suppliers and internal departments to identify gaps and risks in the design and validation of HV power electronic products. HV battery system integration and troubleshooting. Support the Industrialization process and definition of the best-in-class test methodologies. Creating and automating test plans and test procedures focus on optimizations of test performance: Test Coverage, Reliability, Cycle Time, etc. Develop test solutions from initial concept and requirements through development to production implementation and support. Deployment of new test methods in cooperation with the Product Development (PD) team for the standardization of test methodologies. Review Test & Development Concepts, Industrialization process, identify and improve as part of continuous improvement as well as to assure implementation and adherence. Systematic knowledge sharing and technical competence management within the international development team Capable of evaluating and managing external contractors, preparing pricing, work breakdowns and interpreting wiring diagrams. Communicate in English and am capable of working with colleagues and customers across multiple disciplines/regions.


Qualification, Experience and Skills:

Demonstrated knowledge of battery technology, EV testing, electric vehicle energy storage systems, charging systems and power delivery would be an advantage. Knowledge and proven experience of requirements to manage Safety, Electrical / Facility connectivity, and 3rd party wiring plans for EV equipment installation. Test software development process and test methodology experience. Automation tools (NI TestStand/LabVIEW, VB/VC; Python, etc.) Experience in test methodologies for high-voltage power electronics products. Knowledge of hardware architectures on automotive products. Good collaborative and communication skills Strong technical and professional skills Degree in Engineering fields such as Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Security and Computer Science, Optics, Mechatronics or equivalent experience is required.  5+ years of proven experience in the implementation of systems and services in the automotive electronics manufacturing industry as a control, launch, or deployment engineer is preferred.
