Position Summary

Responsible for guiding and supporting the conceptualization, structuring, and tracking of strategic initiatives leveraging multiple data sources to aid a successful rollout of initiatives to identify opportunities for improvement. Responsible for the interpretation of large data sets, reporting progress and outcomes effectively, collaborating with stakeholders, and disseminating the outcomes efficiently. Provide end-to-end solutions for difficult business challenges . Create presentations that share strategy results with leaders.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate closely with the strategy group and key cross-functional leadership to support decisions and evaluate potential strategic opportunities, with a focus on providing recommendations on improvement for strategic tests and initiatives underway. Develop presentations utilized to communicate meaningful results, trends, and insights regarding the performance of key strategic initiatives. Conduct analyses to identify insights that go beyond trends and results and inform the organization about new ways to think about strategy rollout, store or customer level results, etc. Guide strategic projects as needed, creating structure around ambiguous strategic questions, analyzing complex business problems and developing data driven insights to support a solution Thought partner across the organization to help structure tools to measure, assess, and analyze results and initiative performance. Ability to develop a structured approach to complex questions and quickly form a hypothesis against which to run test analyses. Ability to challenge conventional thinking to deliver innovative recommendations Proven analytical proficiency and ability to leverage data to positively impact the business and solve complex business problems Ability to lead multiple projects and tasks simultaneously Innovative problem-solver with ability to triangulate answers by adopting different problem-solving approaches. Demonstrated success executing complex strategic projects Ability to influence without authority Partner in cross-functional projects to design, create buy-in, and implement organizational level changes to address major internal and industry challenges.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience 8 - 10 year's work experience, ideally including experience working with research and strategy Experience with multiple data sources, analytics, and structured problem solving Proficiency in, machine learning concepts and application, along with hypotheses testing to develop models to support business decisions Knowledge of approaches to work with \"big data tables,\" and dashboards, and manipulating large sets of data to generate robust insights
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree Educational focus on business, economics, engineering, math, statistics, or other quantitatively-oriented major Three plus years of applied data science experience Two plus years of experience deploying, scaling, and continually improving algorithms Retail or category Management experience
