Analyst-Revenue Cycle Compliance

Compensation varies based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, performance and salary range at the time of the offer._ **Responsibilities** Provide research, analysis and recommendation regarding the organization's compliance with regulatory/statutory requirements affecting patient billing and accounting practices. + Maintain current knowledge of regulations and statutes regarding patient billing and accounting practices. + Research questions related to the organization's compliance and provide recommendations. + Conduct regular bill audits. + Coordinate Medicare and other regulatory reviews/audits. + Provide recommendations to management based on audit results. + Monitor key compliance measures and develops corrective action plans based on analysis. + Ensure all claims are submitted in accordance with CCI guidelines by assisting Medicare billers with research, correction and processing of any claim not passing CCI edits. + Make recommendations for solutions to prevent recurrence of errors. + Analyze data to identify likely relationships, summarizes data and prepares summary materials for discussion with clinical and finance teams. + Design and refine reporting that provides insight for process improvement operations. **Requirements** Licensure/Certification/Registration: + Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) credentialed from the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) preferred. Education: + High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Bachelor's degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. **Additional Preferences** Ideal candidate will be well versed in coding guidelines, billing regulations and denial management workflows. Must have excellent skills with spreadsheets, possess the ability to analyze data and create pivot tables to identify trends, draft SOPs and make recommendations for rules in Epic to reduce denials. A minimum of 5 years coding or billing experience. Coding Certification (CPC, RHIT) desired but not required in lieu of experience / billing knowledge.
