Job Summary:
Under minimal supervision and utilizing Mary Kay Inc.’s Business Systems, provides analytical support to one or more areas of the Global Logistics and Noth America’s Distribution department which researches, analyzes, and monitors movements of components, raw materials, finished goods, obsolescence, and excess inventory for all domestic and international locations ensuring that inventory is moved in the most cost efficient and compliant way, and tracked and accounted for as it moves through distribution channels.
Responsibilities
Analyze, interpret, and report supply chain performance data to provide actionable insights that drive efficiency and optimization across Global Distribution and North American Distribution Centers. Conduct detailed analyses of data from various sources, including warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Utilize statistical methods and data visualization techniques to interpret performance metrics such as inventory turns, order accuracy, shipping lead times, and cost per unit. Prepare comprehensive reports and deliver actionable recommendations that enhance operational effectiveness and drive cost savings. Provide recommendations to enhance supply chain strategies, improve service levels, and reduce costs through data-driven analysis. Utilize findings from performance data to suggest process improvements and optimization strategies. Identify areas for cost reduction, such as transportation efficiencies or labor productivity improvements. Recommend technology solutions or automation opportunities to streamline workflows and reduce manual processes. Present data-driven proposals to senior leadership and operational teams with clear business justifications. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends, anomalies, and areas for improvement in global and domestic supply chain operations. Track and analyze performance metrics such as on-time delivery, order fulfillment rates, and inventory accuracy. Use statistical tools to detect anomalies and root causes of performance issues. Develop predictive models to anticipate potential disruptions and recommend corrective actions. Create periodic performance scorecards and dashboards to share insights with leadership and operations teams. Develop and maintain detailed reports and metrics for executive-level presentations and operational reviews. Create high-level summaries and in-depth analyses for monthly, quarterly, and annual business reviews. Tailor reports to the audience, ensuring that executive stakeholders receive strategic insights while operations teams receive actionable details. Use storytelling techniques to make complex data relatable and impactful. Provide trend analysis and forecasts to support strategic planning and decision-making. Design and develop interactive dashboards and visualizations using Tableau and / or other environment to enhance data visibility and decision-making processes. Create intuitive and dynamic dashboards that provide stakeholders with real-time visibility into key performance indicators (KPIs). Develop user-friendly visuals that allow teams to drill down into specific data points and explore various scenarios. Automate data refresh processes to ensure reports are current and reliable. Incorporate advanced Tableau features such as parameters, calculated fields, and filters to optimize user experience. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including operations, logistics, finance, and IT, to gather data requirements and implement reporting solutions that align with business needs. Act as a liaison between supply chain management and other business units to understand reporting needs and operational challenges. Participate in regular meetings and strategy sessions to ensure alignment on data objectives and project timelines. Work with IT teams to integrate data from multiple sources and ensure data infrastructure supports business reporting requirements. Provide training and guidance on data interpretation and Tableau usage to empower users across departments. Utilize automation tools and techniques to streamline data extraction, transformation, and reporting processes where applicable. Identify repetitive manual processes within reporting workflows and implement automation solutions using tools like Alteryx, Power Automate, or custom scripting in Python or SQL. Develop scalable processes that reduce data preparation time and increase reporting accuracy. Ensure automation solutions are well-documented and easily maintainable by other team members. Experience: 3+ years with a strong background in analytic, Tableau, SAS, SQL, power queries in excel
Education: Bachelor/University Degree
Education Focus: Bachelor's degree required. Supply Chain or Data Analytics preferred.
Skills & Abilities
· Must have analytical and mathematical skills to be able to analyze trends in large data massive and suggest KPI and improvements. · Must have strong experience utilizing tableau, excel, SQL and SAS for analysis of data · Must possess effective oral and written communication skills in order to interface with other functional areas in the company. · Must be PC literate and proficient in Excel functionality in order to prepare various reports. · Must have organization and time management skills to work effectively with internal and external contacts. · Must be able to think innovatively to help solve routine inventory related problems and make suggestions for improvement. · Must have a general working knowledge in Mary Kay Inc. Business Systems (WMS/JDE/GPSPro/Agile). · Must have a basic understanding of supply chain processes for domestic and international markets.
