Role DescriptionThis role has responsibility for testing the core banking product. The successful individual will work within a QA team to analyze requirements (both business and technical) and translate these into test specifications and core functionality documentation. These activities will include the management of stakeholders to ensure that solution designs meet client requirements. The analyst will also be required to work closely with solution developers to provide oversight and clarity on the development solution.Key Responsibilities include: AnalysisDevelop and maintain a deep knowledge of the core banking platform functionality and business processes related to their nominated functional area.Working closely with our stakeholders to develop solutions and testing these solutions to meet business and technical requirements.Discuss, understand software specifications with Solution Consultants and Development LeadsTest Design & Preparation: Review and analyze business requirements to ensure they are quantifiable and testable.Design testing requirements from Functional Specifications and/or Business Requirements (test permutations).Test execution:Perform structured and context-driven (formal /ad-hoc) system, system integration and regression testing as required.Use internal defect tracking and test case management system(s) to document test cases, record defects and record test case execution results.Raise and re-test defects.Collaboration / Communication: Work with the test team, development team and client/professional services team.Ensure that testing issues/ solutions are called out appropriately to the testing community, and where there are obvious process improvements, promote to the broader FNZ teams and client engagement teams.The successful candidate will demonstrateExperience of analysis & testing within software development life cycleConfident, and able to take initiative given client– and delivery-focused environmentExcellent organizational, administration and time management skillsExcellent communication skills and confident in working with other teamsIndependent and delivery focused working styleAnalytical thinking.Required Skills3 to 5 years in testingISTQB foundation level certification is a mustSignificant track record in banking product testingFluency with DB testingGood knowledge of SQLKnowledge of ReadyAPI is a plusCommitment to Equal OpportunitiesAt FNZ, we recognise that diversity, equity and inclusion are important factors contributing to our success.
