The Import Export Team plays a crucial role in ensuring our merchandise and non-merchandise arrive safely and efficiently while adhering to all federal regulations of import/export.
Our goal is to deliver our merchandise to the Distribution Center as timely as possible in partnership with external and internal clients.

The Opportunity:
As the Trade Compliance Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that the company adheres to international trade laws and regulations. You will support in all regulatory import and export strategy for the US to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and look for creative regulatory solutions to overcome trade issues.
This position is permanently onsite based in our Dayton, NJ Distribution & Service Center
Role & Responsibility
In-depth knowledge of custom rules and regulations Providing classification of product per US harmonized schedule Provide Schedule B for exports Support Post entry corrections where necessary and maintain record keeping Assist in corrective actions resulting from internal audits and compliance issues Manage basic issues and problems under supervision, while escalating more complex issue to appropriate staff or team Conduct Internal Customs Audits Support with Duty Drawback Monitor and flag dangerous goods for all new and existing products Monitor and manage exotic sku’s for internal reporting. SDS checking (Safety Data Sheet) for transport and EPA Conduct risk analysis and support the preparation of detailed reports for presentation Support with review of test results related to CPSC, CHCC etc. (as needed) Resolve complex issues that have been escalated and expedite solutionsSupervisory Responsibility:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in Trade Compliance License customs broker preferred, but not required Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Business, International Trade, or related field International shipping industry expertise required Understanding of customs brokerage process and freight forwarding required Strong research and analytical skills Excellent interpersonal skill and proven ability to interact effectively at all levels Detail-oriented Problem solver Knowledge of incoterm Proficient in Microsoft Excel (V-lookup, Pivot tables, etc.) Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word Flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business, including extended holiday hours during designated periods throughout the yearKnowledge of the following:
Classification CPSC CBP FDA FW/CITES CTPAT USDA TSCA/APHIS Lacey act Antidumping and countervailing duties (AD/CVD)We are looking for a candidate that has a combination of the above attributes and can perform the key functions of the role with or without reasonable accommodations.
