Job Description

The employee prepares and analyzes environmental samples using standard analytical techniques according to scientific and EPA methodology in compliance with Eurofin's Quality Assurance programs and SOP’s.

Position is full-time, Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm. Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Edison, NJ are encouraged to apply.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Performs routine lab tasks that provide experience and familiarization with methods, practices, and programs. These include:Preparation of samples using standard techniquesPerforming chemical analysis using standard techniquesCalculating dataRecording and reporting data and any unusual test occurrences to the supervisorPerforming routine instrument maintenanceResponsible for performing job functions in compliance with TestAmerica’s EHS and QA standardsResponsible for general housekeeping in his/her work area.

Secondary Duties

Works under close supervision using routine and standard methodsAliquots and weighs samplesWashes glassware

Requirements:

Education: High School Diploma is required. High school Chemistry coursework, basic laboratory experience Experience: Laboratory experience helpful. Previous production-oriented work helpful (awareness and ability to meet deadlines)

Physical Requirements

Lifting and Carrying: Lifting up to 50 pounds and carrying up to 30 pounds when moving samples and disposing of wastePushing and Pulling: Pushing and pulling up to 200 pounds when moving sample carts and gas tanksBody Positions: Approximately 60% of time standing when analyzing samples, 10% walking when moving about laboratory, and 30% sitting when working at computer, doing paper work, or analyzing samples. Additional Information

Compensation range: $16-18 (DOE)

Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, the actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.

Professional working proficiency in English is a requirement, including the ability to read, write and speak in English.
