Your Role:

 

EMD Electronics in Tempe, AZ is seeking an Analytical Chemist to perform laboratory operations including chemical and physical analysis in a QC lab.


Responsibilities include:

Maintain safe working conditions and practices in compliance with established responsible care proceduresComply with the EH&S requirementsWork in a laboratory environment and read and follow SOPsSet up laboratory equipment and instrumentation required for QC tests, research, or process controlPrepare reagents, samples, standards according to proceduresDocument and record test data and observations as a permanent recordMake calculations according to standard operating procedures/instructionsCompile and organize raw and refined data for clear communication and interpretationTracking or performing routine maintenance on analytical equipmentMaintain appropriate laboratory supply levelsEffectively and efficiently organize daily activities to achieve expected resultsMaintain higher housekeeping standard

 

 

Who You Are
 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Scientific discipline2+ years laboratory experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

Master’s Degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology, or other Scientific discipline 1+ years experience in an analytical or QC laboratoryAdvanced analytical experience including chromatograph analysis, physical property, and particle characterizationExcellent mathematical and statistical skillsKnowledge of chemical analyses and processesGood computer skills (excel, scientific instrument software, LIMS, NWA, JMP)Ability to work in a team environment with good communication skillsAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentPossess initiative, self-motivation, and good organizational skills
