Analytical Chemist

Description

The successful candidate will join the Analytical Characterization group within the company’s research and development organization. This position will be a member of the wet chemistry laboratory for the qualitative and quantitative analyses of small organic compounds, additives, degradation products, and impurities in complex polymer matrices.

Operate and maintain the instruments.Perform moisture testing following test methods and procedures developed by the associates.Perform test method development under instruction.Perform stability testing following SOP.The daily activities focus on proper sample preparation, data collection, notebook recording, data analysis, and data reporting.Prepare and analyze moderate to high volume of samples within required turnaround time.Report any unexpected observation to the lab supervisor or corresponding SMEs.Maintain good documentation and lab notebook per company procedures.Maintain calibration and maintenance records for these instruments.Prepare technical reports with accurate interpretation of analytical data.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience in an Analytical Characterization setting is required.Experience in wet chemistry including handling organic solvents required.Experience in GLP/GMP environment is preferred.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $27.50 - $32.50
