Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Analytical Chemist to join our team. You will be responsible for running HPLC, developing and validating new methods, and supporting manufacturing and regulatory needs through innovative analytical chemistry and methodology.
ResponsibilitiesParticipate in the development of new processes by applying analytical skills and training.Facilitate and support analytical technology transfers.Plan and formulate aspects of analytical research and development proposals, including objectives, applications, cost, equipment, and human resource requirements.Develop, implement, and validate analytical methods and procedures.Keep accurate records and document experiments.Support the Corden Pharma Stability Program by understanding internal, corporate, and ICH stability guidelines.Engage in manufacturing site activities such as troubleshooting and resolving analytical problems.Develop an understanding of QEH&S principles and regulatory affairs.Analyze batches of drug substances, intermediates, and raw materials for clinical or registration programs.Properly manage the generation and accumulation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste.Work flexible hours, including weekends and nights, to accommodate the production/validation schedule.Essential SkillsInstruments: Proficiency in HPLC, knowledge of GC, FTIR, UV-VisExperience with GMP and laboratory proceduresStrong background in chemistry and analytical chemistryExperience in method development and validationHandling potent and toxic materialsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with peptides and amino assays is highly valuedExperience with small moleculesAt least 2 years of experience in relevant fields, excluding majority experience in cannabisAdvanced degrees (e.g., MS or PhD) with HPLC or advanced analytics techniques such as Mass Spectrometry (MS)Candidates from Quality Control (approx. 2-3 years) are considered
Work Environment
You will be working in a CDMO environment with multiple ongoing projects that can range from 1 month to several years. The work is collaborative, with project teams consisting of 3-5 people and part of a larger cross-functional team of 18. The hours are Monday to Friday, 8-5pm, with flexibility and no weekends required. Training will take about a month, and 80% of the time will be spent working in the lab on-site. This is a 12-month contract term.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33.20 - $41.70
