Job Title: Analytical Chemist
Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Analytical Chemist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting routine analytical chemical testing on various samples, including raw materials, in-process batches, finished goods, water samples, cleaning samples, and stability samples. This role also involves specialized analytical testing in support of development projects, new products, method troubleshooting, and out-of-specification investigations.

ResponsibilitiesPerform routine analytical chemical testing on products submitted to the lab.Conduct analysis of raw materials, in-process batches, finished goods, water samples, cleaning samples, and stability samples.Conduct specialized analytical testing as directed by the Laboratory Manager.Properly document all results according to Standard Operating Procedure and Work Instructions.Review the work of other laboratory personnel as required.Learn and practice all aspects of laboratory instrumentation, including gas chromatography (GC), High-Pressure Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UV/Visible Spectrophotometry, and FTIR.Conduct analytical work in support of cleaning validations and engineering trials.Compile and summarize data when required.Perform general housekeeping and glassware cleaning.Communicate verbally and in writing with management, coworkers, suppliers, and customers.Perform other assignments as requested by the Lab Manager.Maintain and promote strong work ethics and uphold all company policies and procedures.Essential SkillsProficiency in HPLC and GC techniques.Strong background in analytical chemistry.Ability to document results accurately and review others' work.Experience with laboratory instrumentation, including GC, HPLC, UV/Visible Spectrophotometry, and FTIR.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Chemistry or related Laboratory Sciences.1+ years of experience in a GMP lab is preferred.Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.Work Environment

This position is based in an OTC Manufacturing Analytical Chemistry Laboratory. The work hours are Monday to Friday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The candidate must have the ability to work extra hours, including some limited weekend work, when necessary to handle spikes in workload and meet deadlines. The company promotes 20% of its workforce every year, has multiple facilities in Southeast WI, and has never had a formal lay-off.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $47000.00 - $52000.00
