Job Description
The Analytical Chemist’s primary responsibility will be to perform analytical testing of volatile and non-volatile components in foods, beverages, flavors, extracts, and essences. Additionally, the role will involve developing and validating methods for testing these components. This position requires extensive collaboration with various cross-functional departments within the company, including Research & Development, Quality Control, and Operations.
Responsibilities
+ Perform analytical testing using GC-MS and HPLC to identify unknown compounds in both sweet and savory samples.
+ Develop, optimize, and validate analytical testing methods.
+ Prepare Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and reports as needed.
+ Conduct routine maintenance and coordinate technical support for analytical instruments.
+ Maintain supplier relationships for technical support of instrumentation.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Research & Development, Quality Control, Operations, Procurement, Regulatory) to achieve desired results.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience with LC-MS is a plus.
+ Experience with liquid extraction techniques.
+ Flavors industry experience is required.
Work EnvironmentThis position operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The facility is cutting-edge and beautiful, with multiple labs on-site. The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00/yr.
