Job Description
The Analytical Chemist III will perform analytical testing in foods, beverages, flavors, extracts, and essences. The role will also involve developing, optimizing, and validating analytical testing methods, preparing SOPs and reports, and performing routine maintenance on analytical instruments. The position requires close collaboration with various cross-functional teams including Research & Development, Quality Control, Operations, Procurement, and Regulatory to achieve desired results.
ResponsibilitiesPerform analytical testing using advanced techniques such as HPLC and GCMS.Develop, optimize, and validate analytical testing methods.Prepare SOPs and reports as needed.Carry out routine checks and perform regular maintenance on analytical instrumentation.Coordinate technical support of instrumentation and maintain supplier relationships.Work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve desired results.Essential SkillsProficiency in analytical chemistry.Experience with HPLC and GCMS.Strong background in wet chemistry and gas chromatography.Capability in developing and validating analytical methods.Experience in maintaining analytical instruments.Additional Skills & Qualifications2-5 years of experience in the food or flavor industry with practical application of scientific methods.GC/GCMS experience is essential.Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience or a Master’s degree with 1-2 years of experience in a relevant field.Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is considered if the candidate is passionate about transitioning to the food industry.Work Environment
This role operates on a first shift schedule, Monday to Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. The facility is cutting-edge and offers a beautiful working environment with multiple labs on-site. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $95000.00
