Job DescriptionGathers data and documents test results. Reviews test results to ensure compliance with standards; reports any quality anomalies.Complies with all pertinent regulatory agency requirements.Participates in required training activities.Maintains laboratory supplies.Completes test records and reviews data.Calibrates or verifies calibration of instruments/devices prior to use.Interacts with outside customers or functional peer groups.May assist in validation of methods.Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills.Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail.Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitude.Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies

QualificationsBachelor’s degree in chemistry, biochemistry, or other science-related degree concentrationMinimum 2-3 years of experience in bioassay laboratoryExperience in running bioassays preferred (skills including working with 96 well-plates, serial dilutions, and working small volumes with multi-channel pipette)Assays included: ELISA, immunoassay, in vivo potencyExperience with mammalian tissue culture and aseptic technique is highly desiredStrong computer, scientific, and organizational skillsExcellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detailAbility to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivated, adaptability, and a positive attitudeAbility to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policiesAuthorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

The position is full-time, with various shift opportunities, with overtime as needed.  Candidates living within a commutable distance of Rensselaer, NY are encouraged to apply.

Schedule: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Tuesday - Saturday.
