Job Title: Analytical Lab Technician
Location: Flanders, NJ
Hours / Schedule: M-F, 8 AM - 4 PM
Type: Contract
Responsibilities Prepare samples for analysis using appropriate techniques, including dilutions, extractions, and centrifugation, et.al. Operate and maintain various analytical instruments such as Infrared spectrometer, optical microscope, HPLC, GC, and other relevant equipment Collect data and interpret results using established test methods and software Independently execute work assignments Adhere to all laboratory safety rules and guidelines Clean and maintain laboratory and equipment to support a safe working environment Requirements BS in Chemistry or related field 1-3 years' experience in a laboratory setting Knowledge and experience with various analytical instruments including Infrared spectrometer, optical microscope, HPLC and GC. Basic understanding of analytical chemistry principles and techniques Basic knowledge of application techniques, is a plus Adhere to timeline and results oriented Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Exhibits and fosters team behavior Ability to follow established protocols and standard operating procedures Good written and verbal communication skills to document results and communicate findings Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
