Analytical/Technical III (New Hire)

The candidate performs specialized analysis on coal/coke and aqueous samples for process control and environmental compliance testing.

General job duties include:

Sample collection•Sample preparationInstrumental analysisWet chemistry analysisField testing in an industrial environmentPhysical and process observationsEvaluations and interpretation dataTroubleshooting and maintaining various laboratory instrumentation.Adherence to safety procedures/guidelines at all times. Safety is our core value which requires you to wear safety protection such as hard hats, safety glasses, hearing protection, protective clothing, and boots with metatarsal protection and ability to lift 50 lbs. A commitment to safe working practices and support of a zero-workplace injury environment is required.

THIS IS A PRODUCTION LAB POSITION, WHICH REQUIRES ROTATING 8 HOUR SHIFT WORK, WHICH WILL INCLUDE SATURDAYS, SUNDAYS AND HOLIDAYS. ALSO THIS POSITON REQUIRES OVERTIME WORK AS NEEDED.

DEGREE REQUIRED: BACHELORS OF SCIENCE IN CHEMISTRY, or BS in BIOLOGY or ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE with at least 24 accredited hours in CHEMISTRY. (Transcripts may be requested)
