Title: Analytical Technician
Location: Plaquemine, LA

Salary: $98,500 - $110,400
Schedule: 9/80

Focus: The Analytical Technologist is responsible for first-line instrument maintenance, calibration, troubleshooting, and technical knowledge. Additionally, the position works with plant and business personnel to ensure adherence to Quality systems and customer expectations.

Analytical Technician Essential Job Functions:

Provide analytical support, develop and implement new analytical methods, and troubleshoot products and processes Create, maintain, and communicate records and documentation regarding product quality Perform advanced calibrations, maintenance, and in-depth troubleshooting of analytical systems Troubleshoot and maintain in-lab Sample Handling Systems, perform non-routine and complex routine analyses Monitor analytical systems, evaluate validity of data, apply statistics, interpret results, and take appropriate action Implement and verify the performance of new equipment Follow and train others on the Analytical Work Process, analytical/quality systems, EH&S, and procedures

Analytical Technician Minimum Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's Degree* in science-related field with 20 hours of college chemistry preferred 6+ years' experience in an industrial lab environment Proficient with creating test standards and carrying out more complex standardizations and calibrations Working knowledge of Sample Manager, OpenLab, GC, ICP, AA, titration, maintenance, and troubleshooting Understanding of theory, capabilities, limitations, and applications of the analytical instruments used on a routine basis Excellent verbal and written communication skills; effective interpersonal and conflict management skills Prior Olin experience in a related position preferred Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential)
