We are looking for a smart, creative, and communicative data and machine learning engineer with expertise developing large scale database, business intelligence and machine learning solutions.DescriptionDescription- Partner closely with the Data Engineering team and the Data Science/Machine Learning team to improve analytic data quality of our customer database and innovate solutions and constructs to support the business for applied analytical decision support. - Build new capabilities, tools and dashboards for special projects and new applications of our customer data. - Collaborate with Business Management to support Investor Relations with device installed base insights used for quarterly earnings reporting. - Develop and standardize new metrics and KPIs for cross-functional use, partnering with the Data Science team and cross functional business teams on requirements and KPI definitions and the Data Engineering team to productionalize proof-of-concept designs. - Perform ad hoc and exploratory data mining and analysis for specific business questions, and dive into troubleshooting database or KPI issues. - Script proof of concept database design to support analytic and core data initiatives - Use data mining, machine learning and advanced statistical techniques to improve database classification and data quality, and to build predictive capabilities, including forecasting, for our installed baseMinimum QualificationsMinimum Qualifications3+ years of building database constructs and using data mining, analytics and machine learning to solve business problemsBS in data science, statistics, economics, computer science or other quantitative fieldKey QualificationsKey QualificationsPreferred QualificationsPreferred QualificationsFluency with SQL and Python for coding, database querying and conducting statistical analysisFluency in Tableau for scaleable business intelligence designAdvanced education degree in data science, statistics, economics, computer science or other quantitative fieldExperience with algorithm development on large scale customer data and designing complex feature-rich databasesExperience with advanced regression and probabilistic machine learning techniquesExperience with forecasting, preferably to include system design for scaleabilityExceptional written and verbal communication skills with experience building stories and narratives out of dataEducation & ExperienceEducation & ExperienceAdditional RequirementsAdditional RequirementsPay & BenefitsPay & BenefitsAt Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $205,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
