We are looking for an analytics engineer to join our dynamic and fast-paced business analytics team. The business analytics team supports Recurly employees by ensuring they have the right data and insights at their fingertips. This role will support that goal by creating data models to prepare Recurly’s vast and complex data for dashboards.
Traits:Even though you may not meet all the qualifications, we are looking for someone who loves getting deep into data, enjoys turning raw data into concrete actions that drive value, and can write SQL in their sleep. We are looking for someone with a collaborative spirit and who enjoys working in partnership with others.Key Responsibilities Collaborate with business analysts, analytics engineers and internal subject matter experts to understand our source data, systems and data requirements.Design conceptual and logical data models to transform data from our data warehouse to power data visualization / reporting tools. Document and communicate these designs to both technical and business stakeholders.Continually evolve and improve data models and architecture to both meet new and changing business requirements and metrics and improve end user experience.Write and execute data validation test cases and resolve data issues.Support existing internal dashboard maintenance and Business Analytics operations by cleaning and validating data sources.Assist in building robust tools and dashboards that monitor key business metrics, customer health benchmarks, and track organizational performance on a scheduled and ad hoc basis. RequirementsYou have advanced skills with SQL (CTEs, analytic functions, etc.).  Beyond writing queries, you are able to connect raw data to business resultsYou have a foundational knowledge of data modelingWorking knowledge of dbt (core or cloud) and gitYou are able to translate findings clearly and effectively to non-technical stakeholdersYou have 1-2+ years of progressive experience in the field of analyticsYou have strong relationship building and communication skillsBonus PointsExperience with building dashboards in Tableau and / or LookerExperience with Python and / or RExperience with Google BigQuery and the Google Cloud PlatformAs a full-time employee, we offer competitive benefits programs and perks designed to fit your needs and the needs of your family.
