We want your knowledge and expertise! **Job Summary and Qualifications** The Analytics Engineer is an analytically focused position for the interpretation and understanding of information systems used to serve the business and to drive Service Management Organization (SMO) and enterprise process efficiency. They will be translating business needs into the development of analytical work products. Using several market leading business intelligence and analytics applications, including those used for building reports, dashboards/scorecards and other guided analysis applications, the Analytics Engineer will provide business intelligence to support business operations. This individual will participate in large-scale development projects as well as collaborate with stakeholders on ad-hoc reporting and analytics needs. **GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES** % Time Description 75% + Develop and maintain reports, dashboards/scorecards and other guided analysis applications. + Work collaboratively with the business to understand needs and translate these requirements into actionable and effective work products using a variety of Business Intelligence tools. + Work closely with SMO Leaders and the broader Information Technology Group (ITG) organization to assist in ad-hoc analytical support needs. + Demonstrate and apply in-depth knowledge of reporting tools including (but not limited to) Power BI, SQL, Dynatrace, ServiceNow (Reporting/Dashboards), and Excel. + Understand scripting or programming languages including R, Python, or Dynatrace DQL. + Experience with AI/ML/LLM models and modelling platforms such as Dynatrace Davis AI, Google Vertex, and/or Servicenow Predictive Intelligence is a plus. + Support new reporting initiatives and applications by gaining an understanding of the underlying data models and designing reports for new applications. + Drive multiple projects simultaneously to successful completion. Self-direct, track, measure and document within a professional multi-tasking, multi-priority environment. + Demonstrate a working knowledge of hospital operations, strategy, and other growth functions and the various data points and systems surrounding these areas. + Contribute to the success of strategic initiatives through innovation, creativity and continued quality and process improvement. + Seek out analytic best practices and help scale them where appropriate. + Provide training and education on reporting tools and business intelligence applications. + Good understanding of industry standards and best practices, i.e. Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) and Information Technology Service Management (ITSM) 25% + Participates in ITG and SMO departmental project activities or other duties as assigned; such as: attends project meetings, testing, developing or reviewing documentation and support procedures, supporting implementations, etc. **RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE** + Less than 1 year + Proficient in Power BI or similar tools such as Tableau, MicroStrategy, or Qlikview + Proficient experience with Dynatrace including Grail and Dashboards + Proficient in ServiceNow Operational Reporting, + Experience with ServiceNow Predictive Intelligence preferred **EDUCATION** + Bachelor’s Degree Preferred + Candidates with equivalent job experience may be considered. **OTHER/SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS** + Higher education preferred. + Bachelor's Degree desired but not required. + Strong analytical and data management skills. + Strong computer skills and technical capabilities + Proficiency with database tools is (e.g. Microsoft SQL, etc) + Proficiency with business analytics platforms ( Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy, etc) + Experience or exposure to log analytics tools such as Splunk is a plus + Exposure to scripting and programming languages such as Python, R, or Splunk SPL is a strong plus. + Experience with ServiceNow is preferred. + Understanding of IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) methodology is preferred. **PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS** + Physical Demands: Prolonged sitting, viewing a computer screen and typing on a computer keyboard + Working Conditions: May require occasional travel, potential On-call rotation HCA Healthcare has been recognized as one of the World's Most Ethical Companies® by the Ethisphere Institute more than ten times.
