In the Munich locomotive factory, we develop and manufacture modern locomotives and passenger coaches. As an Analytics Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our engineering team can draw the right lessons from the operation of our vehicles to further develop our platforms.
Your primary focus will be on maintaining the operational data storage of our platforms and developing data analysis methods. You will leverage your expertise in statistics, data analysis, and database structuring to achieve this.

 

What do you contribute?

You plan and supervise the analysis of problems in the operation of our vehicles. You participate in developing new components and support their specification during the design process. In addition, you support the team leaders in planning the specified tasks in terms of costs and deadlines. You maintain and optimize the operational data storage of our platforms. You develop data analysis methods and techniques to extract valuable insights from the data. You collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers and business stakeholders, to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions. Moreover you contribute to the continuous improvement of our data and analytics capabilities by researching and implementing new technologies, tools, and methodologies.  

What do you bring along?

You hold a technical or scientific Master's degree in a relevant field. You have In-depth knowledge of data modeling and data analysis. Also, you are proficient in Python programming and familiarity with database structures. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think abstractly and tackle technical/physical issues. Furthermore you want to optimize our designs and a ability to work effectively in a team. Excellent command of written and spoken German and English round off your profile.
