Description The AWS Sales Insights, Analytics, Data Engineering and Science (SIADS) Private Equity (PE) team is looking for a talented, driven, self-directed Senior Insights Product Manager to join an organization that is responsible for driving adoption of the AWS platform by PE firms owned companies around the world. This is a unique opportunity, in a fast-growing business, to provide insights to our field teams and leaders. Specifically, you will define, build and scale Business Intelligence and Analytics products that allow us to Get, Grow and Keep PE firms owned companies on AWS. You will work closely with members of Sales, Business Development, Operations and Finance teams to ensure we are sourcing, validating and surfacing internal and external third-party data to make informed business decisions. You will collaborate with engineers to build self-service reports and establish automated processes for large scale data analyses. You should consider applying if you are passionate about data research & analysis, extracting and manipulating data (using SQL, Python or advanced Excel features), and producing actionable insights and business intelligence through compelling visualizations and story-telling. This job requires strong communication and project management skills to work with key stakeholders and business partners, understand requirements, and deliver analytics products. You should also be able to demonstrate analytical thinking, business acumen, and a knack for working backwards from the customer's needs in a cross-functional environment. Key job responsibilities - Build insights from 1P data (AWS’ historical business data) and 3P data (sourced from multiple external data providers) to grow cloud adaption of PE firms owned companies for AWS. - Own and deliver complex analyses, key reports, and dashboards, including but not limited to tracking of Sales goals, KPIs and metrics and operational performance. - Derive recommendations from analysis that have impact on multiple teams providing significant business value. - Own innovation, development and delivery of actionable insights built on reliable, secure data. This includes creating and coordinating user acceptance test plans for dashboards, advising on best practices and actionable insights based on analysis. - Comfortably and skillfully flex among various tools such as Tableau, QuickSight, and Excel, as needed and appropriate for the analytical ask and timing context. - Partner with data engineering and BI engineering teams to source internal and external data for reporting, analytics and business insights delivery. - Work closely with Sales operations staff to optimize business processes and operations. - Continuously review and optimize operational processes and seek opportunities to reduce transactional workload through deep dive and gap analysis, providing leadership recommendations for system integration and automation projects. About Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) AWS Sales, Marketing, and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. GSO2024 Basic Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field - 5+ years of experience at a management consulting company, investment bank, or technology company in Sales BI, Finance or related quantitative functions - Experience in SQL and manipulating large data sets in relational and non-relational databases - Experience with data analysis tools such as QuickSight, Salesforce and Tableau - Advanced proficiency in Excel (including VBA, Pivot Tables, array functions, Power Pivots, etc.) Preferred Qualifications - Experience in influencing senior leadership through data driven insights - Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or Information Management Systems - Advanced proficiency in SQL, ETL, data modeling, and working with “Big Data” and familiarity or experience with Python or R - Experience or familiarity with the startup ecosystem, including dynamic of startups, accelerators, venture firms and more - Passion for learning new technologies and analytical methodologies related to business intelligence and data analysis - Knowledge in one or more functional areas such as Enterprise Planning, Sales Productivity and Sales Readiness, Sales Enablement, Sales Operations experience - Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills to translate ambiguous business requirements into complex analyses and actionable insights Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $124,500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $206,000/year in our highest geographic market.
