We are seeking a results-oriented and analytical professional to join our newly set up Cross-Border Trade Business team.  The ideal candidate will use data-driven insights to help drive business priorities and support operational execution. This role combines deep analytical expertise with a strategic mindset, enabling the business to stay ahead of market trends, regulatory shifts, and technological advancements in global payments.

In your day-to-day role you will:

Data & Analysis: Deliver high-impact, data-driven insights in cross-border payments to shape strategic decisions and influence business outcomes at the executive level. Utilize advanced data modeling and analytical tools (such as SQL, Python, R, and machine learning algorithms) to analyze large, complex datasets, identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities. Develop predictive models and conduct scenario analyses to support strategic planning, evaluate business initiatives, and uncover actionable insights that directly contribute to growth, profitability, and competitive positioning in the cross-border payments space.

Performance Monitoring & Tools Development: Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor growth, market penetration, and financial performance, providing regular reports to senior leadership. Design and implement advanced dashboards and analytical tools to enhance visibility into key metrics, trends, and performance drivers within the cross-border payments space. Utilize data visualization platforms (such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker) to create intuitive, real-time dashboards that empower stakeholders at all levels with accessible, actionable insights. Continuously refine and optimize these tools to support evolving business needs, ensuring robust data accuracy, timely reporting, and impactful decision-making capabilities.

Insights Generation: Identify emerging opportunities in global markets, providing data-backed recommendations that drive business expansion and enhance global presence. Conduct comprehensive market analysis to uncover shifts in customer behavior, competitive landscape dynamics, and regional trends. Leverage these insights to forecast growth opportunities, guide strategic investments, and recommend initiatives that capitalize on market potential. Present findings in clear, actionable formats tailored for diverse stakeholders, ensuring insights effectively inform strategic priorities and business development efforts across global regions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with product, marketing, sales, finance, and in-market teams to generate and refine data-driven insights, fostering a deep understanding of cross-border payment trends and customer needs. Work with stakeholders to identify key metrics, align on data requirements, and translate business challenges into analytical solutions. Facilitate the sharing of insights across teams to drive alignment, support strategic planning, and ensure that data informs product innovation, market positioning, and revenue growth initiatives.

What do you need to bring:

Strong Analytical Skills: Deep expertise in advanced analytics tools and techniques, including SQL, Python, R, and data visualization platforms such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker. Experience analyzing very large, multi-dimensional, potentially messy data sets, but still providing attention to granular details. Ability to leverage statistical modeling, machine learning, and data mining techniques to turn complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.

Effective Communication & Clarity: Proven ability to distill complex topics into simple, concise recommendations tailored to diverse audiences, including executive-level stakeholders. Demonstrates a knack for balancing brevity with detail, ensuring clarity while capturing essential insights.

Strategic Acumen & Business Case Development: Extensive experience in developing business cases, conducting market sizing, and providing strategic recommendations. Combines quantitative and qualitative analysis to deliver insights that shape strategic priorities and inform high-impact decisions.

Desired Qualifications:

7+ years of experience in data analytics with strong exposure to business strategy

Master’s/Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related quantitative field.

Demonstrated proficiency in large database manipulation through standard access tools, such as SQL; comfortable using data visualization tools such as Tableau. Familiarity with Thinkcell/ CRM tools is a plus.

Experience in global payments, financial services, or digital commerce is highly desirable.
