Diagnostic Laboratory of Oklahoma- Oklahoma City, OK Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm

Essential Functions of Employment with DLO:
• Show up for work, on time & prepared each and every scheduled work day
• Perform all tasks and processes assigned to you including all tasks and processes you are fully qualified to perform and all tasks and processing that you may be over-qualified to perform
• Maintain a positive and supportive attitude throughout each and every scheduled work day & work as a collaborative team member with your fellow teammates on a daily basis

Main Duties: Distribution and monitoring of quality control to Cytotechnologists, handle minimal incoming calls in a professional and timely manner, perform and track slides daily to pathologists, perform client calls to handle test in question, monitor pending lists, electronic filing and retrieving of slides


Required Knowledge: Computer knowledge required, organizational and phone skills

Required Experience: HS diploma or equivalent.  Lab experience and medical terminology preferred but not required.


Special Requirements: Ability to maintain a professional, courteous and pleasant attitude in times of heavy workload and stressful situations. Teamwork with fellow employees is a must. Requires strict attention to detail. Overtime as required by business needs.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

The normal performance of duties may require lifting and carrying objects: Objects 1 to 10 pounds are lifted and carried frequently; objects 11 to 25 pounds are lifted and carried occasionally; objects 36 to 50 pounds are seldom lifted or carried and objects over 50 pounds are not to be lifted or carried without assistance.  Ability to stand and work at the bench for long periods of time.  Frequent walking and/or standing.  May be required to use a wide variety of manual tools and laboratory instruments and apparatuses all of which demand significant manual dexterity
