Ancillary Manager of Career Track

General Description: Responsible for oversight and management of the Career Track program and team members.
Responsibilities:
Accountable for full-cycle management and development of Career Track associates. Includes monitoring work product, performance management, and mentoring.Participate in the recruitment process and training of new Career Track associates.Promote Emerson Rogers culture in alignment with the philosophies and mission statement.Collaborate with OpCo President/Market Leader and other members of the management team. Ensure department’s highest level of service and efficiency.Work with Human Resources to define the organizational structure. Includes coordinating recruitment and staff development. Serve as a point of escalation for team members. Make recommendations for process improvement to achieve operational goals and capacity management. Stay current with industry and new product information, legislation, technology, and trends.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
3-5 years of experience in a group health insurance setting. Prior supervisory experience preferred.Bachelor’s degree preferred.Must possess a Life, Accident & Health license. Expert knowledge of products, services, competitive offerings, market needs, and industry trends.In-depth knowledge of agency management system functionality, workflow procedures, underwriting, sales, and service processes.Detailed understanding of all types of health/ancillary benefit plan designs, financial models, enrollment, and carrier processes.Ability to manage others effectively. Includes handling conflict and bringing to a timely resolution.Strong analytical skills. Ability to use and interpret benefit related facts and figures. Strong organizational skills. Ability to set priorities and manage deadlines. Strong communication and presentation skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Physical Demands:
Work is performed in a climate-controlled office environment with minimal noise and limited to no exposure to chemicals or toxins. Employees operate office equipment including telephone - headset, computer, computer monitors, keyboard, mouse, copier, scanner, and mail machine. Physical tasks of job include walking, sitting, standing, bending, and typing.
