Position Overview:
As part of the talented Software Engineering team, you will provide technical management, hands-on coding and people leadership of the Navico Android core services and SDK. Must have the capability to lead coding development and support global development strategies that allows for multi-site development of products, platforms, and research. Must have strong software development experience as well as an understanding of software processes.

Essential Functions:
Ultimately accountable for the delivery of Navico Android platform services and SDK for multiple hardware products. Services include launcher, settings, device management, data services, OTA etc. Hands on development role leading the execution.
Management and supervision of direct and indirect employees to foster a global environment. Must be a strong leader and motivator.
Development in Android, Java, Kotlin, Python, C/C++, embedded development proficiency.
Advocate for CI/CD, test automation and against short-term thinking that drives up technical debt.
Review and create the technical requirements, best practices, test and validation procedures for the software.
Oversee and draft requirements for software security, privacy and safety.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to deliver these to a global audience.
Collaborate with software, hardware, mechanical and validation engineering leaders.
Work closely with global product management and senior leadership team on product roadmaps, strategy and research.

Required Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in a software development and software architecture role.
Bachelor’s degree in electrical, computer engineering, computer science or related engineering field.
Experience with Android, Android Automotive, services and SDK development.
Knowledge of embedded software, CANBus, networking, cloud, mobile, hardware, ML.
Proven leader of people that can get results and the best of people · Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to work with a global team/audience.
Ability to meet deadlines; accomplish work in order of priority; professionally maintain composure and effectiveness under pressure and changing conditions.
Ability to negotiate conflict and maintain constructive working relationships with people at all levels of an organization
Ability to support corporate 5 C’s program. Customer Satisfaction, Commercial Edge, Collaboration, Culture of Passion and Performance, and Credibility.
Preferred Qualifications:
Passion for boating or at least comfortable with product testing on boats. ·Experience with Atlasian, Android Studio, GCP, testrail, gherkin and cucumber or similar products. ·Experience with IOT connected and secure products and protocols – WiFi, BLE, CAN, NMEA. Formal management trainingWorking Conditions:
This is a hybrid role with a 2 to 3 day a week onsite expectationThe anticipated pay range for this position is $100,900 to $160,800, annually. The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
